Event has already happened.
This route is posted as a Free Daily Ride redo of the CHEW#11 route which was shortened because of rain on 3/27/16. The route is 52 miles long and has a 4000 feet total elevation gain. Note that it starts at Newport Hills Park and Ride. We'll ride at moderate pace typically at 15-16 mph on flat terrain, self pace while riding up the hills, and regroup at the top of each hill. Planned stops include: (1) McDonalds at mile 4 - rest room only, (2) Cedar River Park at mile 23 for rest room and nutrition (No plan to stop at the Maple Valley Market so bring food to eat here), and (3) the Issaquah Coffee House at mile 43 where you can purchase food, consume your own, and use the rest room. Please print a cue sheet from the link if you use one, and bring a spare tube and equipment to fix a flat if needed. Steady rain cancels. The ride leader will not be at the ride start should weather meet the definition for cancellation (steady rain). Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start. Don't forget to register on the Cascade site. This ride is available as a RIDE LEADER MENTORING OPPORTUNITY. Link for route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12801301
