A new once-in-a-lifetime route!
Join 7,000 of your friends this Memorial Day weekend for the second year of our Emerald Bike Ride presented by Kaiser Permanente. This year's route will literally be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, giving registered riders the opportunity to bike on the SR 520 bridge, I-5 Express Lanes AND NOW the I-90 Express Lanes, all three closed to vehicle traffic. Space is still available for this year's event, so don't delay and REGISTER TODAY!
Choose from a 25-mile or 11-mile route option with views that can't be beat and access to roads normally not available to people riding bicycles. This ride is intended to be accessible to everyone who enjoys riding a bicycle!
Registered riders will receive a commemorative hat as a giveaway with t-shirts available for purchase. Both routes are fully supported and the longer route will feature a rest stop with tasty eats from local vendors. Ride details.
Who does your registration support?
Did you know the Emerald Bike Ride presented by Kaiser Permanente is a fundraiser? Your registration fee helps Cascade provide bicycle education programs for children, families, school groups and everyone else who wants to ride a bike. It also helps us advocate for safer, more connected bicycle infrastructure throughout the state and region. And thanks to you, we’re able to offer fun and challenging riding events and free group rides every day of the year! Your participation truly helps improve lives through bicycling.
Our events are made possible with support from the local communities through which we ride. A special thanks to our partners who are helping make this amazing event possible: Washington State Department of Transportation, Sound Transit, City of Seattle, City of Bellevue and City of Medina.
