Training for RSVP
The Cascade Training Series (CTS) is a weekly multi-paced training series designed to prepare riders for STP and RSVP. The series starts in April with a 25-mile loop and continues every weekend through STP, with a series of four "maintaining" rides between STP and RSVP. During the progression of increasingly challenging rides, you will build endurance, confidence and knowledge in the areas of basic bike maintenance, group riding skills, nutrition and riding techniques, PLUS you will get a stylish Road ID® with your emergency contact information. Limited registration slots will be available, so register early.
If CTS does not fit your schedule, Cascade Bicycle Club also offers an extensive Free Group Rides Program that can help you get ready for your favorite weekend event. To design your own personal training program, go to our Daily Rides Page, read the Information for Newcomers and view the Ride Classifications. Then, using the STP Suggested Mileage Chart, go to the Free Daily Rides Calendar and select rides that fit your needs. You can also contact the ride leaders listed on individual ride listings if you have questions about whether particular rides are suitable for you.
