When:

Pickup times are Fridays 12pm to 3pm!

Where:

Lake City | North Helpline pickup location

Meet just outside of the donation doors next to the garage door at North Helpline - Lake City

You should see a large donation sign at the donation doors. If the door is closed when you arrive please ring the doorbell and a staff member will assist you in getting the kits.

The Address of the food bank is 12736 33rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125 (map)

Bitter Lake | North Helpline pickup location

Meet just outside of the front doors of the North Helpline - Bitter Lake Food Bank location on Linden Ave N

The Address of the food bank is 13000 Linden Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133 (map) and the building is right off the Interurban Trail (North)!

Who to ask for when you arrive:

Lake City | North Helpline pickup location

Once you arrive please ask for Jeremy or Mike. They know that you will be stopping by the food bank to pick up pantry restocking kits and she will show you where the restocking kits are and answer any questions that you may have.

Bitter Lake | North Helpline pickup location

Once you arrive please ask for Taylour. They know that you will be stopping by the food bank to pick up pantry restocking kits and they will bring the pantry restocking kits out to you so that you can load up your bike!

Amount of food to deliver:

The amount of food you will be delivering will depend on the route that you’ve chosen. The NHL LFP Restocking Route Details spreadsheet (also copied above) contains details on how many bags worth of food and supplies you will be provided with at the food bank. Currently each bag can weigh up to 30 lbs so please prepare for your ride accordingly (We recommend attaching bike trailers to your bike or using cargo bikes).

Alternatively, some of our volunteers prefer to pick out the food and supplies themselves. If this is the case for you, you may do so upon arriving at the food bank. Please feel free to make use of the spreadsheets linked below which contain photos showing the pantry stock each week, to help you gauge how much food you may need.

What to do if you meet a pantry host:

All of the pantry hosts know that we are restocking the community pantries that they are stewarding on Friday afternoon, but they may not know all of the volunteers yet. So if you do see a pantry host and are comfortable introducing yourself as a Pedaling Relief Project and a Little Free Pantry volunteer please do so! Also, we have added a few questions for the hosts to the route details, so if you get any answers from the hosts please let us know via email.

Borrowing Bike Trailers:

We now have bike trailers at the Bitter Lake location that the volunteers can borrow to use during the pantry restocking ride. Please let us know if you need one then we can get one available for you.
