Reduce food waste and help feed the community by rescuing food from the Ballard PCC and bike it to the Food Not Bombs pop-up food bank in SODO. Ride with 7 to 12 other pedaling volunteers in order to rescue valuable and nutritious food for the Food Not Bombs pop-up food bank in SODO. If you don't have a bike trailer, let us know and we will bring one for you to use on the ride!

Bike trailers are available for volunteers to use on the rescue ride. Let us know that you are interested in using a bike trailer through the sign-up form and the ride organizers will bring a trailer to the Ballard PCC start point, help you hook the trailer up to your bike, and answer any questions you have about riding with a trailer.

To sign-up, click on the link above to select the day that you would like to volunteer. Then sign-up for the volunteer slot that you wish to participate in.

In the sign-up form, along with your basic contact information, we’ll ask how many pounds off food you are able to carry on your bike and if you would like to borrow a bike trailer.



After you sign up you’ll get a confirmation email from volunteer@cascadebicycleclub.org with more details about your volunteer shift.
