Riders who love to climb, let's meet near the rest rooms adjacent to the Tibbets baseball fields and please be ready to ride at 8:30am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group. Please park in the upper parking lot.
We will climb Cougar, Squak, and Tiger Mountains each twice for a total of 5280' of climbing. There will be an optional bonus at the end of the ride for riders wanting to go a little higher.
The ride is listed as Vigorous, but it will be a very hard ride, with lots of difficult climbing. This ride is designed for fit, strong riders.
I will brief participants before the ride about the climbs and overall route. We will regroup at the top of every climb, and riders will be briefed on safety concerns to be aware of on the descents.
For those interested in Cascade's High Performance Cycling Team, I'm happy to talk about the team during the ride -- so please ask!
There will be no food stop. Due to the steepness of the climbs and frequent regroups, plan on the ride lasting about four hours. Start with two full water bottles.
As a reminder, per Cascade policy, e-bikes are not permitted on Vigorous-paced rides.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

Restroom stop?
Is there a restroom break possibly with an option to refill water bottle? The description says no food stop, but would be nice to make clear if there will be restroom stops or not. Thanks!
Restroom and water stop
We will make a stop for water and restrooms at Lake Boren Park at the 15.1 mile mark of the ride. The park is shown as a course point on the GPS track.
