Join us for a transit tour from Enatai Beach Park on a 22 mile route around Bellevue and Redmond at a Leisurely (10-12 mph average on flat ground) pace!
We will meet next to the parking lot at Enatai Beach Park (10200 1st Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125). Bike access is from nearby I-90/Mountains to Sound Trail. Parking can be found in adjacent parking lots. Transit access is from Sound Transit's Route 550 bus and King County Metro Bus routes 241 & 249 serving South Bellevue Park & Ride about a mile away using a signed detour through the neighborhood that follows the ride route.
Please be ready to ride at 9:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that’s done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will visit a total of 8 future light rail stations on this ride at which we will pause briefly to observe them. We will take a restroom & water break at Grass Lawn Park in Redmond (mile 11.9). There are restrooms near the start/finish in the lower area of Enatai Beach Park.
The route is mostly on paved roads and trails.
Please note: this ride is expected to last around 3 hours (estimated finish by 12:30 pm).
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
