Join us for a history ride from Cedar River Trail Park on a 15.1 mile route around Renton at a Leisurely (10-12 mph average on flat ground) pace!

We will meet at the north end of Cedar River Trail Park (901 Nishiwaki Lane, Renton, WA 98057). Bike access is from the Cedar River Trail. Parking can be found in the adjacent parking lot. Transit access is from King County Metro Bus route RapidRide F with stops about a mile away on Logan Ave.

Please be ready to ride at 9:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that’s done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

There are a total of 11 short stops on this ride during which the ride leader will tell a story about the history/geography/etc. for a couple of minutes. We will take a restroom & water break at Liberty Park (mile 8.9). There are restrooms near the start in Cedar River Trail Park.

The route is mostly on paved roads and trails with a few short segments on packed gravel.

Please note: due to all of the starts/stops, this ride is expected to last around 3 hours (estimated finish after 12:30 pm).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!
