Come to Fall City Elementary School on Sunday for a moderate-pace ramble in the Snoqualmie River Valley, with a short stop at Starbucks in Carnation on the way back. We'll go at about 15 mph on the flats when there is no wind, and there may be pauses for scenery and agricultural activities of note.
Please be ready to ride at 10 AM when we will do the safety briefing and get on the road. If you are not ready when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate.
There are no restroom facilities or water at the start. There may be a porta-pot on 32nd Avenue near the school's athletic fields, but betting on that can be risky. There are two porta-pots at the Mobil gas station in Fall City. There will be a porta-pot opportunity at Jubilee Farm/Mile 6, and a pit toilet at Chinook Bend Park/Mile 12. Restroom and water are on the return leg at Carnation/Mile 23. A GPS route map and cue sheet are at the Link, below. If you need a paper cue sheet, please print one. Be sure that batteries are fully charged for everything that needs mobile power (electronic shifting, GPS devices, cell phones, e-assist bikes, lights, etc).
Bring ID, equipment and skills to fix flats, a phone, and a plan for rescue if your bike fails.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather-cancels criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, I will post a ride-cancelled message for registered riders at least two hours prior to ride time and will not be at the start location.
Come ride!
