Rattle Dem Bones Halloween Bike Ride & Costume Contest

Greater Gig Harbor Foundation's Rattle Dem Bones Halloween Bike Ride &Costume Contest Presented by Gwen Gilliam Real Estate
Sun. Oct 30, 2022 7:45am to 1:00pm

Spooktacular fall ride and post ride party with music & prizes awarded for best costumes.

Three supported routes to choose from - all with treats along the way:

MONSTER HILLS: 36 miles with 2,300 feet of elevation - riders will spin around our beautiful Gig Harbor, climb Dana Drive north towards Olalla, ride the rollers on Mullenix Road, enjoy the wide shoulder along the Burley Lagoon, then climb to Peacock Hill and take Cushman Trail back to the party.

SON OF MONSTER: Frightened by monster hills? Son of Monster to the rescue! At lucky mile 13 of the Monster Hills Route, riders can cut out a loop and a few hills. Son of Monster is a chip off the old block - 22 miles with 1400 feet of elevation.

MINI MONSTER:  Pedal as much or as little of the Cushman Trail as you and your mini monsters - or maybe ghoul-friend wish to.  Ride to the Tacoma Narrows Bridge... if you dare! Entire route, including the bridge,  is 15 miles. Costumed volunteers will cheer you on  - the more trail you cover, the more of them you will meet!

Start/Finish/Finish Line Party Location:

Kimball Drive Park and Ride / Cushman Trail Trailhead : 6808 Kimball Drive - Gig Harbor WA 98335 (corner near the Wilco store)

2022 Rattle Dem Bones is limited to 200 riders total and prices will increase as the event gets closer- Don't Delay - Register TODAY

Can't decide which route? Compare them and pick the one that seems best. Okay to change your mind on the day of the ride. The Mini Monster is recommended for families and casual riders - there are no tricks in the name Monster Hills!

See our website for event schedule, details about ride support, packet pick-up, safety notes and more.

Gig Harbor is a great weekend get-away and local businesses will be welcoming you as part of our "show your bib and be treated" promotion. Consider coming to town Saturday, exploring our Maritime City (including coming to Old Town Bicycle to pick up your packet) and waking up refreshed and ready to ride on Sunday. All three Gig Harbor hotels are close to the ride start. (Inn at Gig Harbor 2 miles away, Maritime Inn 1mile, Best Western across the street)
