Join us for a ride from Frank Fulmer Park in Auburn on a 26.9 mile route at Steady pace (12-14 MPH on flats with no wind)!
We will make our way up SE Black Diamond Road, to the Black Diamond Bakery. After getting goodies there (and/or the Smoke house next door) - we'll return via a fun downhill at 218th and the rural Green Valley Road. If you didn't get your pepperoni fix in Black Diamond, there is the opportunity for a stop at Green Valley meats before making our way back to the start.
Let's meet at the Frank Fulmer Park parking lot at 9:40 am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 am.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.
Restrooms are not available at the start unfortunately (closed due to Covid-19). We will stop along the way for restrooms/coffee/snacks at the Bakery around mile 13. We’ll also stop for water/snacks at mile 7 and at mile 23.5 (Green Valley meats) if there is interest.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
