Summer is well and truly here, and nothing honors the season like a bike ride in the sunshine. Let's meet on Burnett Ave S, north of Burnett Linear Park in Renton. Plan to arrive by 9:40 for our pre-ride safety briefing, so we can head out at 10:00. We'll ride at a Steady (12-14 mph) pace up the west side of Lake Washington, cross over to Bellevue via I-90 and Mercer Island, and cruise back down the lake via the Eastside Rail Corridor Trail and Lake Washington Blvd. We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we look to regroup at the top of each climb.

There aren't any restrooms available at the start. We'll stop at Seward Park (about mile 6.6) for a restroom break, and at Newcastle Beach Park on the other side of the lake.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Is there a parking lot at the start?  I could not tell if the parking lot north of the park is public.  Thank you.  Shingo

yes, it's a public lot. Generally plenty of space there.
