This ride will be a pleasant cycle on the Enumclaw plateau using lower traffic country roads past houses, farms and fields. If we get a break on weather we'll have great views of Mount Rainier along the way. We'll spend most of the ride getting our legs warm on the flat and rollers before riding up to Mud Mountain Dam park. This is an approx 1 mile climb with just enough bite to make you feel it, for those that really want a workout we'll let you climb it twice.
Bring a snack and water for a short stop at Mud Mountain.
Bathrooms: At the start (Rite Aid or Safeway), Mile 20
Meet in the Rite Aid parking lot closer to Hwy 410/Roosevelt Ave
Arrive at least 30 minutes early so that you can get yourself ready, sign the waiver and listen to the S.M.A.R.T. briefing. This allows us to have an on-time departure.
Be considerate and have full fenders including mud flaps if roads are wet or if there is a prediction of rain in the forecast. If you don't have fenders and it is wet, you will be expected to ride in the back.
A route map and cue sheet are on the Ride With GPS link, below. If you want a cue sheet please print and bring it. The ride leader will not have extra copies.
Please, register in advance by clicking on the red "Register Now" icon above. Registering online helps save time at the start. If you decide not to ride but have registered, it is not a problem.
Cancellation policy: If needed, a weather cancellation will be posted two hours prior to the Comments section, below, and the ride leader will not be at the start. Please check here before leaving for the ride.
