Summer Camp 7/20-7/24/2020
When:
Mon. Jul 20, 2020 8:45am to Fri. Jul 24, 2020 3:00pm
Cascade’s summer camp sessions explore the fundamentals of biking independently and with others. Campers take their cycling to the next level as they explore biking routes, locations, and more complex cycling techniques. Through small and larger group activities campers begin to build a sense of community and camaraderie. In addition to participating in arts, crafts, exploration, games, and challenges - campers will also be introduced to skills such as:
- Starting and stopping safely
- Hand signals and one-handed riding
- Group riding (single file and side by side)
- Trail and path etiquette
- Passing and verbal/non-verbal communication
- Intersections and right of way
- Gears, shifting, and braking
Designed for: 7-12 year olds.
Session: Week long, Monday-Friday, 8:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Group learning: Campers are divided into small teams based on their cycling skill, experiences, and social needs.
Campers must already know how to ride a bike in order to participate in camp.
