We'll ride around the southern part of Lake Washington and across Mercer Island. We'll meet at the Newport Hills Park and Ride (405- exit 9). Quick stop at Coulon Park for a bathroom break. There will be a short coffee stop at Starbucks in Leschi at the 16 mile mark.
Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page. Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start. Note that this RSVP requires a Cascade Bicycle Club account. If you don't have one and/or don't want one, come to the ride anyway and just sign the waiver/attendee sheet. All are welcome.
If weather conditions meet the cancel criteria on the day of the ride, I will post a ride-cancelled notice in Comments, below, two hours prior. Ice or snow also cancel. Please check here before leaving for the ride.
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to the ride start to ready your bike and hear the safety briefing. If wet weather, please be courteous to other riders by having fenders on your bike (preferably extra long with a buddy/mud flap).

buddy/mud flap
I am new here and this is going to be my first ride. I have a bike, lights, helmets and wet weather protection.
I have two concerns
1) Don't have a puncture kit, but I can always get my better half to come save me ;-)
2) I do not have a mud flap, its still in shipping. Will I be able to come still and stay at the back? Or is that too much of a nuisance for the experts here? I do not have any prior experience group riding other than watching some youtube videos.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, Don. This ride was canceled due to rain however, it's always best to have a puncture kit. That said, if you have an alternative such as your wife, that's cool and your choice. As for mud flaps, you can always ride in the back if the weather turns ugly. Thanks, Alan
