Come join us for a fun January Jaunt on the beautiful Cedar River Trail.  We'll ride out to Maple Valley, and on our return trip, we'll get some picturesque views along Jones road, where we may have to stop for a photo or two. Before making our way back, we'll make a quick stop at Starbucks, for bathrooms and something warm if needed :)  We will ride 10-12 mph on the flats and folks can climb hills at their own pace.  We will regroup at the top of all hills and as needed, and will make every effort to stay together.  Please bring all tools and tubes needed to fix a flat, as well as a plan if you need a pick up.  Remember to bring water, snacks, and cash. Also if you want to join for lunch after the ride, join us at the Jaguar Mexican Restaurant (See the link below).

Our start location will be at the Old Renton City Hall.  The bathrooms are likely closed for the season, so please come prepared. However, there are porta potty facilities a couple miles in, and we can stop there if needed. Also, on the way back, we'll be stopping at Starbucks for another restroom opportunity.  Please be courteous to your fellow riders and arrive at least 20 minutes prior (9:40 a.m.) to the start to prepare your bike, listen to the S.M.A.R.T safety ride briefing and allow us to leave on time.

Please RSVP by clicking the red "Register Now" button above and filling out the electronic waiver form. This will save you time at the start.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

Comments

My lungs have not recovered from last week's ride. I still sound. Like a barking walrus. So we will see if I make it.

Oh no!  Feel better. This weather isn't cooperating very well. I'm hopeful that it will clear a bit more by the AM. I'll make a weather call around 7:30am.

Good morning all.  I'm sorry to cancel, but with the wet weather and possible unsafe riding conditions, I don't think it is safe for us to ride this route today.  Please be careful out there today and this week... M.

Marki, Thanks for staying on top of the weather situation, and letting the riders know! I might sign up for Next Weekend, unless we have a "Snopocalypse" Again!

Thanks James. I'll post something for next week...  let's cross our fingers that the weather might be better. I may have to post something flat, so we're not faced with crazy downhills in this weird weather.  Enjoy your week!  Be safe!  M
