Join me on a mini cycling tour of Seattle, Kirkland, Bellevue and Mercer Island.  This tour will pass or go through parks, along waterfronts and take a brief stop at the Bellevue Botanic Garden. This is a social ride with a steady pace (12-14 mph).

Ride starts at Madrona Beach heading north through the Washington Park Arboretum and continues east over the 520 bridge to the Kirkland waterfront. We continue along the waterfront before starting our gradual climb through Juanita Bay Park to the top of Rose Hill. A lovely descent starts as we pass Bridal Trails State Park and continues to within a short distance of the Bellevue Botanical Garden. After a photo of group at garden, we will descend to a relaxed coffee/lunch at Dilettante Mocha cafe. Watch the ducks, enjoy the beautiful scenery and socialize with fellow cyclists at this stop. Our return to Seattle crosses Mercer Island, with a short diversion through Aubrey Davis Park, before continuing across the I-90 Bridge to our starting point.

There is a restroom at the start of the ride and many along the route.

Please be considerate of your fellow cyclists and arrive at 9:45 am.  Leader wishes to do safety briefing  prior to 10 am start.

You are encouraged to pre-register by clicking the red "Register Now" button above. There is no need to unregister if you decide not to ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

We plan on joining your ride at Marina Park in Kirkland and will be there by 1100. Please let us know if you do not plan to use this rest stop so we can meet you elsewhere on the road.

Don,

I had not planned a stop at Marina Park, but had thought, if necessary, to stop at Houghton Beach Park for a restroom. You will not be able to park in lot, but there is ample street parking near it. We will be going pass Heritage Park and could also stop there. I will look for you and Jane.

Hi Loretta - we will meet you at Heritage Park on Waverly at about 1115. There are several other eastside riders that may also join there and need parking. Look forward to riding with you.

The group will stop at Heritage Park in Kirkland to sign on eastside riders at 11:15 am.  See you tomorrow.
