Whether you enjoy cycling as a hobby or as a competitive sport, you have a passion for cycling. If you want to know more about the rules governing competitive cycling, or want to contribute to the sport of cycling, this clinic is for you!
Dates:Session 1: June 2, 10:00am – 5:00 pm – Introduction to Bicycle Racing and Refereeing
Session 2: June 3, 1:00pm – 5:00pm – The Role of the Motorcycle Referee(optional)

Cost:Free of charge to attend the clinic. Lunch and beverages will be provided. There are fees to obtain a USAC referee’s license, required to referee USA Cycling sanctioned races. However, WSBA will reimburse the first year's fees and pay for your uniform (shirt) after you referee just two races.

USA Cycling has agreed to award 2 Road or Track upgrade points to current licensed racers (category 5 or 4).
Saturday, June 2:The basic regulations of bicycle races and the role of the race official.
Instructor: Dorothy Abbott, International Commissaire
Sunday, June 3:An introduction to refereeing bicycle races from a motorcycle. Pre-requisite to become licensed as a Motor C official: June 2 clinic or “USAC RC Official” license. A motorcycle is not needed to attend this course.
Instructor: Tod Manning, National Commissaire
After attending the first day this clinic, participants are eligible to apply for a license to referee USAC, WSBA, or OBRA cycling races.
