A scenic rural ramble starting from Ron Regis Park, just east of Renton.  We'll ride through Ravensdale, Cumberland, the Enumclaw Plateau, and Maple Valley, including a crossing of the Green River Gorge.  Mostly rolling terrain with a few climbs.

A RideWithGPS route map is at the link.  No cue sheet.  Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats, and a plan for rescue should you have a serious mechanical failure.  If roads are wet, bare tires are a safety issue so come with real fenders and a long mudflap in back.

Directions to the start:  From I-405 and/or Bronson Way in Renton, take State Route 169 (the Maple Valley Highway) three miles to the traffic light at 149th Avenue SE and turn left, then take the next left into Ron Regis Park.

There are porta-pots at the start.  We'll stop at Ravensdale Park (Mile 16), Nolte State Park (Mile 25.9), and Lake Wilderness Village shopping center (Mile 47.3) for water and bathrooms.  An added 3-mile out and back side trip to the Black Diamond Bakery for bathrooms and coffee/treats is possible.  We will not be at the Bakery long enough for a sit-down lunch in the dining room, so bring enough food for the ride.

Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page.  Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the contact information, and click on Save.  By doing this you will save time at the ride start.  Note that this on-line RSVP requires a Cascade Bicycle Club account, which is easy to set up, but if you don't want one just come anyway and sign the hard-copy attendance/hold harmless sheet.

The listed phone number won't be answered on the morning of the ride.  In event of showers, I will not be at the ride start.  If the weather meets the showers-cancel threshold, I will post a cancellation notice in the Comments block at least 2 hours prior and will not go to the start.  Ice or snow also cancel.  Please check here before going to the start.
