A mostly rural loop into the Snoqualmie Valley. We start with a warm-up southbound on the Sammamish River Trail, then ride up and over Hollywood Hill, to Redmond Ridge, and on to Carnation.  Return via Duthie Hill, Education Hill, English Hill, and the Sammamish River Trail. Please be ready to ride by 8:45 AM so we can have the safety talk and start on time.

There'll be a quick "eat it and beat it" food stop at Starbucks in Carnation.  Bathrooms and water will be available at the start/Mile Zero; Redmond Ridge/Mile 15; Carnation/Mile 30; and Beaver Lake/Mile 49.

A Ride With GPS route map and cue sheet are at the link.  If you want a cue sheet, please print it. Bring tools and knowledge to repair flats, and a plan for rescue should you have a serious mechanical failure.  If roads are wet, bare tires are a safety issue so come with real fenders and a long mudflap in back.

Please RSVP by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page.  Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the contact information, and click on Save.  By doing this you will save time at the ride start.  Note that this on-line RSVP requires a Cascade Bicycle Club account, which is easy to set up, but if you don't want one just come anyway and sign the hard-copy attendance/hold harmless sheet.

If weather conditions meet the Showers Cancel criteria on the morning of the ride, I will post a ride-cancelled notice in Comments, below, two hours prior.  Ice or snow also will cancel.  Please check here before leaving for the start.

Comments

Right now (Monday 0930) the route from Tolt Hill Road to Fall City is closed.  When I was out there yesterday the river was receding east of Fall City but still rising on roads to the west of there.  We'll see what happens as today goes on.
