It’s time for that yearly feast with friends and family. Before you eat and fall asleep in the easy chair, why not join us for a bike ride to work up a little appetite that also includes a stop for pie. Our route will leave the Sumner Fred Meyer, we head north on the Sumner Link trail for some warm-up miles before heading south to summit the 410. We pedal through Sky Island and meander around Panorama West Subdivision stopping for a slice of pie before heading West to the Foothills trail and back to the start.

9:00 am roll out time. Please aim to arrive by 8:30, so you have time to get ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. Registering here will make the process easier and faster.

If you are a new rider, we are very happy to have you with us. Please read the New Rider link, below, and keep in mind that a helmet is required on all Cascade rides. Also, riders should be able to sustain the pace, carry nutrition/water, and have the know-how and equipment to fix a flat tire. Everyone should carry a phone to call for assistance if needed. We will regroup at major intersections. Arrive at least 20 minutes early so that you can get yourself ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the S.M.A.R.T. briefing. This allows us to have an on-time departure.

Be considerate and have full fenders including mud flaps if roads are wet or a prediction of rain is in the forecast.

A route map and cue sheet are at the Ride With GPS link, below. If you want a cue sheet, please print and bring it. The ride leader will not have extra copies.

Cancellation Policy: If needed, a weather cancellation will be posted two hours prior in the Comments section, below, and the ride leader will not be at the start. Please Check here before leaving for the ride.

Comments

I will lead a slower pace up the 410, leaving the start at 8:45am, but keeping a 14-16 mph on the flats. We will re-group at the top of the 410, finishing the ride with the faster Moderate (hill climbers) group. Please sign the waiver as one Moderate pace group. Pumpkin pie!!!!!

This ride is canceled.  Wind and rain.
