This is a unique opportunity to get some exercise, make a few new friends, and see the Everett Fire Department in all it's glory. If you or someone you know pays taxes you should get on your bikes and come check out the shiny red trucks we collectively own! Plus you'll get a chance to meet the nice hard working people who save our lives and put out our fires.

We'll meet at Station #1 and head south to Station 5, then on to Silver Lake for Station 7. From there we'll go northwest to Station 6, and up to #4 before finding the bonus historic Station 4 near Forest Park. After that we'll ride to North Everett in search of Station 2. From there we'll go south toward downtown, across Broadway at the special bicycle crossing signal on California, ending the tour at historic downtown Station 2 (pictured.)

Once downtown you can grab some lunch, coffee, or beer at a local establishment of your choosing before heading back to Station 1 to complete the loop.

The full loop is about 22 miles and we're planning a leisurely pace. Most of the route follows the Interurban bike trail or bike lanes. Some of it follows quiet neighborhood streets, and there's a short section on the sidewalk along Evergreen way. (Nobody should ride on Evergreen way, it's not safe.) There will be some hills, but we'll be going slow and they're not too bad. No shame in walking if you need to.

Get your bikes tuned up and please wear a helmet. Bring snacks and water.

This event is not officially sponsored by anyone or any organization and any risks belong to you, the bike rider.
