We'll ride south from Marymoor Park up onto the Sammamish Plateau and Issaquah Highlands, and down into Issaquah proper for a brief refreshment stop at the Issaquah Coffee Company. Then we'll continue to West Lake Sammamish Parkway and Sammamish Road, and finally turn north on the paved East Lake Sammamish Trail and Parkway back to Marymoor.  Two and a half climbs, one serious descent, and assorted rollers along the way.

Please be ready to ride by 9:50 AM so we can get S.M.A.R.T. and start on time at 10:00.  Portapot at the start.  Flush toilets at Beaver Lake Park (Mile 10) and Gilman Village (Mile 20).  No formal lunch stop.

The pace is Moderate on the flats and self-paced on climbs and descents with regroups at the top/bottom.  Please bring equipment and know-how to handle flats or minor mechanicals.  If roads are wet, bare tires are a safety issue for other riders so come with real fenders and a long mudflap in back.

A RideWithGPS map is at the Link, below.  A printable PDF cue sheet is at the Attachment.  If you need a cue sheet, please print and bring your own.  Also--if you click on the PDF hot link, the file will open over the Cascade web site and this ride announcement.  To exit the PDF, use the Back Arrow to return here.  If you click on the "x" to close the PDF tab, you will also close the Cascade web site and have to re-enter it and navigate back here.

Please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of this page.  Then put a checkmark in the waiver release box, complete the telephone number boxes, and click on Save.  By doing this you will save time at the ride start.

If weather conditions meet the cancellation criteria on the morning of the ride I will post a ride-cancelled notice two hours prior in the Comments block and not go to the start.  NOTE:  Snow, ice, or heavy frost also will cancel. Please check here before leaving for the start.

Comments

Temperatures along the route won't get above freezing for the time we'd be riding.  Moisture along the way will be ice, and the chance of random black ice, both on the heights and down along the water, is great.  Not riding this route today.  Regrets.
