We will meet at the South Prairie trail head parking lot at 0945 for a safety/ride briefing. We will depart at 10:00 am sharp. Please arrive on time for the safety briefing with a mechanically sound bike, tires inflated and ready to roll. Moving time is approximately 2:30 (budget 3 hours total). The ride effort level will be 18-20 mph and we will re-group at the end of climbs as described during the pre-ride briefing. Bring plenty of water and nutrition. Weather is predicted to be sunny but cool so dress accordingly. We will ride from South Prairie through Burnett, Wilkinson and Carbonado. We will stop for ten minutes approximately 1.5 miles beyond the Carbon River Ranger Station at the bridge that crosses the Carbon River. There is a good photo opportunity and there is also an outhouse close by. We will return via 165 and then Johns Road into South Prairie.
