What is Bike & Brunch? How about an easy going ride that should take no more that a few hours, that culminates in Brunch, Mimoso's and Bloody Mary's.

What is Team RWB? The Mission is to enrich the lives of America's Veterans by connecting them to their comunity through physical and social activity. What's that...you're not a Veteran? That's cool...all the better. Do you have to join? Well we'd like you to sign up at www.teamrwb.org (FREE) to get a T-Shirt...but it's not necessary.

Now, how about this ride...

Wow...is this really the fourth Bike & Brunch? And the fact that every one has seen more and more people come out is awesome. And the 4th iteration of this instant classic is sure to be the best one yet.

This time, we're meeting up at the famous Spar Tavern in Tacoma, WA. Just up the hill from the original Old Town Bicycle Shop means that if you need some immediate help after the ride...you'll have mechanical support at your fingertips.

After a grueling 80+ Kms for last months ride, we drop it back down to just over 50 kms...but of note...we're also bringing back the hills. The route will take us down Ruston Way, with a quick loop through Point Defiance...the largest City Park in the Country. And by the way...YES...the loop will include the famous Owen Beach Climb. After completing the 5-Mile PD Loop, we'll climb again...this time it's up Vassault, as we sneak a peak at the Narrows, while crossing over SR 16. A quick descent down 6th Avenue (yep...I said down) will bring us to Titlow Beach and some awesome views of the Narrows Bridges. The route will then take us up Grandview, afterwhich, we'll head back towards SR 16. Finally, a quick detour onto the Scott Pierson Trail will see us descend 25th Street to the docs, closing up the ride with a quick pass through downtown Tacoma, WA.

Total distance - 51 KM / 32 Miles
Elavation Gained - 688 Meters / 2260 Feet

Will it be tough? A little...but definitely doable.

The ride will culminate with Brunch at local favorite - The Spar. Here's a little something about this local hot spot.

Welcome to the Spar, Tacoma's oldest saloon. Located in the heart of Old Town in Tacoma, Washington. The Spar has made a tradition of offering great food at reasonable prices and served in a friendly atmosphere.

The Spar is happy to be able to provide espresso drinks and fresh desserts at our espresso cafe. We are also able to serve families our famous lunches and dinners, so bring the kids down with you!.

As always, we will depart at 7 AM. We expect the ride to take between 3 and 3.5 Hours, so if you plan on attending only the Brunch portion...the group should be there around 10:30 AM. And as always...you DO NOT have to ride to partake in Brunch.

Additionally, these are NO DROP rides...meaning that we all finish together...no exceptions. Each month, this incredibly popular event has only gottne bigger...so don't delay and sign up today.
