Tour de Kitsap

This is just a little reminder that the 23rd annual Tour de Kitsap is July 31, 2016 (Sunday). Its run by Kitsap Peninsula's and Bainbridge Island's own West Sound Cycling Club. It is our club's major fund raiser for all of our activities, including a very active cycling advocacy team (mountain and road). Our beautiful bike routes encircle north and central Kitsap County featuring three start locations — Silverdale (Kitsap Mall north end), Bremerton (Ferry landing), and Kingston (Village Green Park) 07:00 to 10:00 (start nlt 08:00 if doing the century). Main hub is at very north end of Kitsap Mall. Its two weeks after STP, a great rest period for your next endeavor - TDK (with a lot more verts). Tour de Kitsap is your opportunity to enjoy the incredibly scenic Kitsap Peninsula by bicycle (with approximately 300+ other riders) – riding along the water or surrounded by trees. Choose from 8 route options with distances of 20, 28, 32, 39, 47, 67, 80, & 100 miles and re-energize yourself at the 7 themed rest stops. Two are hosted by partner clubs, i.e., the Tri Babes and the West Sound Triathlon Club. Riders starting in Silverdale have the most route choices (20, 32, 47, 67, 80 & 100). And finish with our famous strawberry shortcake at the end making this a great ride for everyone. We have over 14 sponsors. Register before 7/23 to receive a free T-shirt (2 per family fee). Day of sign-ups generally entail about half the riders, but they don't get the deluxe, customized nylon t-shirt (suggest you pre-register hint, hint). The ride runs from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
