West Seattle to Kent

- Attendance at the pre-ride safety briefing is required to participate in the ride.
- If you have tested positive for COVID or have been exposed to someone with COVID, follow the quarantine and isolation guidelines. In general, if you have COVID or are displaying COVID symptoms, or if you are sick with the flu or a cold, you should not participate in group rides.
- Carry a face covering in case a business or public transit requires their use.
- Please, no spitting or “snot-rockets” while participating.
- A CPSC certified helmet is required to be worn to participate.

Meet at the Statue of Liberty at 61st and Alki. Join me on one of my favorite routes. The route will take the scenic backroads from Alki to Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines before we drop down to Kent for a lunch stop. Route back will be on the Greenriver and Interurban trails to South Park and then back to West Seattle. First half of the ride is hilly. Last half of the ride is completely flat. Cue sheet and map is attached. Please print and bring it with you to the ride. In case it is needed, please come prepared with a pump, spare tube and patch kit. Ride pace will be steady to low moderate. If weather is questionable, I will post cancellation of ride two hours prior to the start of the ride.

Ride is still on
The weather doppler appears to show that the rain will be gone, especially from West Seattle heading south. Although it is raining hard right now at 8 am, the ride WILL NOT be cancelled unless it is still raining at 10 am.

Still a little rain going on in West Seattle at 9 am. Ride is still.a go unless it is raining at 10 am. Don't take I-5 to West Seattle exit. Accident and lanes are blocked.
