Cycle the Gap (formerly known as CTS Rides Again) is a series of 4 Sunday rides beginning July 17, (following the conclusion of 2016 Cascade Training Series (CTS)) to help riders prepare for the RSVP, RAW, and other challenging rides. We have chosen four of the best rides from the CTS series to ride again. We will have three different paces (Yellow/Steady, 12-14 mph on flats; Green/Moderate, 14-16 mph on flats; Blue/Brisk, 16-18 mph on the flats).

These are part of the club’s Free Daily Rides program and are open to everyone. Join us for one or two rides, or be a real trooper and ride all four. You decide what works for you. We will try to have two or three ride leaders per pace so it is very important that you RSVP on MEETUP at least 24 hours prior to each ride and register on the Club page (www.cascade.org) at least 24 hours in advance.  This will allow us to secure additional ride leaders if a large number of riders wish to ride at a particular pace, and also allow you to get updates if there is a possible cancellation and for group communications.

Today's route is: Bellevue-Cumberland 73mi/3,100’
Ride With GPS Link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/11459670
Cue Sheet: http://files.meetup.com/3386282/08_BG_Bellevue-Cumberland_2016_.pdf

As is customary for all Cascade rides, you must wear a helmet, and have necessary gear and knowledge to fix any flats you might get along the way. The group will not stop to repair flats or mechanicals, but our sweeps will ensure you have a cue sheet to continue the ride.

These rides are not supported. There will be short rest stops along the route, but come prepared with your own food and beverages. Please email the Series Directors with any questions/concerns.

Please arrive 20 minutes early to hear the safety briefing, sign the waiver and to ensure you are ready to ride on time.

Comments

Hi folks, a quick note to say we will not be offering leisurely pace (10-12mph) on this ride.

We WILL be offering steady (12-14), moderate (14-16) and brisk (16-18) so you will have lots of good choices.

Thank you for clicking the REGISTER button above and e-signing the waiver, as that will make the ride start quick and smooth -- you just check a box to say you're there.

Joseph

Will be a warm one so plenty of fluids.  Hate to miss but will regroup with you all next week and the one thereafter.  Looking forward to RSVP 1 and a group to ride with.
