Answer the call to ride and join the Seattle Cycle Sirens for a women’s ride around beautiful Mercer Island! The Seattle Cycle Sirens' (SCS) mission is to encourage women of all abilities to get out and ride! Hear the call of the road... your siren for fun!
The Ride Leader will be leading a Moderate paced ride (14-16 mph on the flats with no headwinds or tailwinds). Those who wish to ride at a faster pace are welcome to do so, but it will then become a self-paced ride for them. Slower riders are also welcome to take the route at their own pace as this is a NO-DROP ride and we will regroup as needed along the way. This ride is about 14 miles long with 700 feet of elevation over fun, rolling hills.
The ride will begin at 6:20 pm (in the South Parking Lot of Luther Burbank Park), so please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to ready your bike, sign the waiver and participate in the SMART safety briefing. There is a restroom near the meeting location.
Riders are expected to have the following with them: water, red blinking tail light and white front light, a spare tube, a pump and other tools to change a flat tire. Please remember that it's important to check your tire pressure regularly during the summer. (e.g., weekly during the cycling season)
