Oregon Coast Gravel Epic

Open
A majical and tough gravel ride from the Oregon Coast Inland!
When:
Sat. Sep 26, 2015 8:00am

The Oregon Coast Gravel Epic is an endurance event that showcases the raw beauty of ancient Siuslaw National Forests and some of its seriously stout hills. At 70 miles long with 9400 ft of climbing the Abomination route more than lives up to its name. While the Son of Abomination is shorter at 35 miles, it is still physically demanding with 3,700 ft of climbing. We are planning for the new rider a shorter little abomination to be announced later this summer to start at 10am.

Our events feature aid stations with Hammer Heed and other Hammer products as well as fresh fruit, sandwich makings, Nutella, and other delicious offerings. Bike support is also offered at some aid stations as well as lead and follow vehicles. After the finish line, you will be greeted with valet bike parking so that you can enjoy a delicious post-ride meal and complimentary Ninkasi Brewing beer (and non-alcoholic options) in our post-ride celebration/finish line area.

The Oregon Coast Gravel Epic is the final event of the Oregon Triple Crown Series of premier and challenging racing and recreational riding events. Complete all three of the Oregon Triple Crown Series, and you’ll take home a well-deserved cycling jersey commemorating your extraordinary efforts.

This event is presented by Oregon Coast Bank and is being produced in cooperation with the communities of Waldport and Yachats on the central Oregon Coast and with the support of Travel Oregon, and will highlight the natural beauty of rural Oregon coastal communities.

This is the Final Event in the Oregon Triple Crown Series. Post Series Custom Jerseys will be given out 5 weeks later for all who finish the 272 miles and 22,500 ft in the Oregon Triple Crown Series
