Meet at the Bike Barn by the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal. (if coming from Seattle, please take the 8:45 Ferry) We will head north on the Chilly Hilly Route until reaching Highway 305 at Hidden Cove Rd.  We will take the bridge over to Squamish and take a beautiful country route on old Port Gamble Rd.  We will stop in Pt Gamble for a snack or coffee before heading onto highway 3 returning on Big Valley Rd and through Poulsbo.  If folks like, we will stop for beer at the new Ale House near the Ferry terminal when we finish.

What Terrain Means

Terrain indicates the most common or average terrain type of the ride and should be considered relative to the length and overall difficulty of the ride. For example, a long-distance ride with a lot of elevation gain will be overall less challenging than a short ride with equal elevation gain. Consider the pace and frequency of regroup as well to understand how advanced a ride may be.

  • Mostly flat: Trails and/or mostly flat roads with a possible gentle uphill
  • Rolling: Climbs are short and easy, not too numerous
  • Some hills: A few short, steep hills, some moderate upgrades and/or longer gentle climbs
  • Hilly: Consistent or continuous climbing
  • Off-road: Significant unpaved sections
