The Japanese Garden at the base of the Washington Park Arboretum is beautiful in the Spring and takes about 30 minutes to thoroughly explore. Admission is $4.00 Seniors and $6.00 for Adults. In addition to seeing the Garden we'll start by detouring to the Yesler Swamp at the Center for Urban Horticulture for a 15 minute walk around the recently completed board walk and then bike around the nearby Talarus Confernce Center. The ride will include a lunch/snackstop and bringing a snack while walking the gardens is encouraged. While mostly flat there are some hills or rises. Co-leader and historian Michael may also add some history during the walks.
