Would you like to join me on a bike ride to have coffee and pastries in Kent?  If you do, then this is a chance to have a relaxed ride that is mostly flat.  We’ll start at the Renton Community Center and head west towards the Interurban Trail.  We’ll ride counterclockwise where we’ll ride at the Green River and Interurban Trails.  When we arrive at Kent, we’ll stop by Panera Bread for food (pastries/bread) and drinks (coffee).  After our break, we’ll ride northbound on the Interurban Trail and return to Renton.

The pace of this ride is based on having no wind.  If we have a headwind, the pace will be lower; if we have a tailwind, the pace may be higher.  Keep this in mind when deciding to do this ride.

Riders should bring a spare tube, tools and the know-how to fix a flat.  Please arrive at the start by 9:15 am for the safety briefing so we can roll promptly at 9:30 am.  Restrooms are located inside the community center.

The ride leader will not be at the ride start should inclement weather meets the definition for cancellation (showers, ice/snow, steady rain).  Ride cancellation will be announced in the Comments Section below at least two (2) hours prior to the ride start.  If you have questions about the weather, please call 818-590-8167, preferably before you leave for the ride.

Good morning everyone: I am looking at my window and have been seeing the radar...so far, it's overcast. In case we run into rain during the ride, please ensure you have all the rain gear you need. Also, in order to have respect for all riders, please have fenders (if you don't have fenders, then you'll be riding in the back).

Looking forward to seeing you all this morning...ride starts at 9:30am (please be at the start at least 15 minutes early to ready you and your bike) :-)
