Join us for a 77 mile, vigorous-paced (19mph) ride from Magnuson Park to Lake Stevens and return.
Meet at the new Cascade Ride Leader Pavilion, adjacent to the Cascade Club headquarters in Magnuson Park at 0845 for a pre-ride brief, and then we'll roll at 0900.
Our route takes us via Mill Creek, down the steep Seattle Hill Rd, out to Snohomish, then we'll circumnavigate Lake Stevens, stopping at Safeway for a snack (mile 40). Our return routes us through Lynnwood and Martha Lake and then back to Magnuson Park via the Burke Gilman Trail.
Our goal will be to stay together, regrouping as necessary at the top of the steeper climbs. Restroom stops at start and miles 19, 40, 61. We'll also limit speed to 15mph on multi-use paths. Ride Leader mentoring opportunity available. Fenders appreciated if the roads are wet.
