Join us for the last FRUMPS ride of 2021, on a 32-mile route at a steady pace (12-14 MPH on flats)! Starting at Gas Works Park, we will take in the Puget Sound view from Ballard's Sunset Hill Park, head to Lake Forest Park for lunch, and return along Lake Washington on the Burke-Gilman Trail.
Let's meet at the parking lot at Gas Works Park and please be ready to ride at 10 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
Restrooms and water are available at the start. There are also restrooms at miles 8.6 and 14.6. We’ll stop for lunch at Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park, at mile 20. Food options there are Honey Bear Bakery and Gyro Boss.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. A bike lock is a good idea, too, as the bike racks at our lunch stop are not in view from the seating area inside.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!

Ride Cancelled
It's pretty clear that we won't have enough thaw to clear the streets and trails for a safe ride. I will try again for Friday, 1/21; it should be posted soon, under "FRUMPS: Gas Works–Lake Forest Park Loop."
