Join us for a ride from the Sammamish Plateau on a 28 mile route at moderate pace (14-16 mph on the flats).

Stretch your legs on this route down from the Sammamish Plateau and up to the smooth bike lanes and quiet residential streets of Redmond Ridge.  We will have a coffee/snack and restroom break at Starbucks, then loop down to enjoy pleasant views along a stretch of Lake Sammamish before climbing Louis Thompson Road back up to Sammamish.

Let's meet at Beaver Lake Park.  Please note there are two parking lots, and we will meet at the lot off SE 24th St by the Lodge at Beaver Lake.  (If you see baseball fields you are in the wrong lot).  Please be ready to ride at 10:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.

Restrooms and water are available at the start and at our rest stop at mile 10. There is also an optional restroom stop at mile 20.1.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!
