It's that time of year to spread quirky holiday cheer! This ride will be the chance to show off your ugly holiday sweaters (that you personally really dig) and add so many lights to your bike that your last name should be Griswold. Or, perhaps you want to wear your Grinch or Santa costume or jingle bells that you've been secretly modeling and waiting 12 months to show-off? Come one, come all, this ride is about hilarious fun!! If you just want to join the fun without a costume you can ride along and laugh at us all! We will conclude the ride with a mini-social including coffee and treats hosted by Trek Bicycle Redmond.
Let's meet at Trek Redmond and please be ready to ride at 10:30am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group, no exceptions.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently. We'll limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15mph). We will stop at Lake Sam boat launch area (mile 12.8) for a restroom break, if needed.
Restrooms are available at the start. Street parking is available for free on weekends. Carry adequate water with you as the water at the state park may be turned off for the winter season.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
