Join us for a ride around Redmond at Steady pace (12-14mph).
In this edition of the Ride Around Redmond series, we will do the loop around Lake Sammamish, starting from the middle of the Lake Sammamish Trail parking lot (directly across the trail from Whole Foods). We will climb the hills on the west of the lake before riding back to the start via the east of the lake.
Please be ready to ride at 9:30am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that is done. If you miss the briefing, you will NOT be able to ride with the group.
While we do not have any water at the start of the ride, we do have a portable rest room. We will have a rest stop at Redmond Ridge park at mile 16. The park is equipped with rest rooms and working water fountain.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of each hill.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Fenders - It is reasonable to expect wet riding conditions. Please have full fenders or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note that Google Maps routing to the parking lot is a bit confused by the construction. The simplest route is to turn onto NE 70th St (by the Brown Bear Car Wash), then turn left just after the trail crossing.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Hope to see you!

Ride Cancelled
Dear all
Due to the prevailing weather conditions, I am having to take the painful decision of canceling the ride. The planned route is expected to have winds with gusts of 30-35 mph. I will nevertheless be at the start by 915 am
