We'll ride mostly quiet suburban streets to Centennial Park in Bothell, then stroll through two gardens, Rhodie Ridge, and the WSU Demonstration Garden at McCollum Park (both free). Then we'll head up to Silver Lake in Everett on the Interurban Trail. We'll stop for a picnic lunch at Thornton A. Sullivan Park at Silver Lake before returning to our starting point at Martha Lake Airport Park. This ride can be shortened at various points, so if the weather turns bad, we will do that. Bring water and your lunch and a spare tube and tools for flat fixing. If the roads are wet, as is common this time of the year, please have fenders on your bike or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
We meet at the Martha Lake Airport Park parking lot. Please be ready to ride at 10:00. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
If it's raining, smoky, or extremely windy that day, I'll post a cancellation notice here by 8:00 am and also email all preregistered riders. If it looks like intermittent rain showers, I'll be at the ride start and will consult the Dark Sky app to make my decision about riding or not. Feel free to call me at 425-238-4045 for updates that morning.
This ride is a mentoring opportunity -- please contact the Ride Leader at least two days in advance so that you have time to familiarize yourself with the route. Ideally we will preride the route together.
Directions to start: From I-5 just north of Lynnwood, take the 164th St. SW exit and turn onto 164th heading east towards Mill Creek. Turn left (north) at the 2nd traffic light after the freeway, at Meadow Road. Turn right at 146th St SW, and the park will be on your right just past 4th Ave W.

I am not totally sure that I
I am not totally sure that I will join the ride today as we have some decent rain here in Mukilteo at the moment. I see that there are more spaces for riders to join at this time, so will hold off from canceling myself from the ride and will check back later. thanks Astrid.
Ride Cancelled
Rain is likely during the ride, so it is cancelled.
