Join us for a 39-mile ride from Paine Field Park at Moderate pace (14-16 mph on the flats.)
This route goes through the rural Snohomish River Valley, urban Everett then rolls over the scenic ravines to Mukilteo before finishing up with the long climb up Mukilteo Speedway get back to the park.
Let's meet in the west side of the Paine Field Park lot. Please, be ready to ride at 8:55 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup occasionally.
A port-a-let is available at the start, but water is not, so please come prepared with full bottles. We will stop along the way for restrooms at Rotary Park at 7.3 miles, restrooms and water at Legion Park at 24.8 miles and for coffee and a snack at Choux Choux Bakery at 27.4 miles in Everett.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

Route check, some route changes
I checked the route Friday and while the Snohomish River is high, the roads are dry. There is some debris in the shoulders in some areas, but not enough to affect the route. Also, I made some changes to the route in the Everett area as of 1 p.m. Friday 10/29. If you need to download the GPS or cue sheet revisions, the Ride with GPS route link above will take you to the latest information.
