Come along for a social 43-mile ride from Lake Wilderness to Nolte State Park. At the start there is a section of packed gravel on the Cedar River Trail for less than a mile. There is no place to purchase food on this route so bring pocket snacks and lunch to eat in the State Park (mile 20.3). After lunch, we head out of the forest onto the Enumclaw plateau and descend to the Green River for a rest stop at Whitney Bridge Park (mile 31.9). Then there is a 10% climb up 218th for about a mile to Black Diamond. We should be back to Lake Wilderness about 3:00 pm.
Start: Let's meet in the Lake Wilderness Lodge parking lot at 9:45 am for the pre-ride safety briefing and route review. We will depart after the briefing. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: If you are not present and ready at 9:45 when we start the safety briefing, you will not be allowed to participate.
Restrooms: There are restrooms in the park at the start; Nolte State Park (mile 20.3); Whitney Bridge Park (mile 31.9)
Regroup: We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, regrouping at the tops and bottoms.
What to Bring: 1) Spare tube and tools to fix a flat; 2) Sack lunch; 3) Two full water bottles 4) Personal ID; 5) Cell phone in case you cannot finish
Cue Sheet: If you would like a Route Map and Cue Sheet, print one from the RWGPS Route link below.
