Join us for a ride around Redmond and Sammamish at Steady pace (12-14mph)

The ride will take us through the scenic roads of Sammamish, Union Hills and Redmond Ridge. Starting at the Sammamish River trails in Redmond, we work our way up the Inglewood and Union hills. After climbing the Union hills, we will continue past the beautiful lanes of Redmond ridge before descending down the Novelty hills back to the start.

Let's meet towards the middle of the Lake Sammamish Trail parking lot (directly across the trail from Whole Foods). Please be ready to ride at 8:45am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

Note that Google Maps routing to the parking lot is a bit confused by the construction. The simplest route is to turn onto NE 70th St (by the Brown Bear Car Wash), then turn left just after the trail crossing.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup at the top of each hill.

No restrooms/ water are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water in Redmond Ridge park at mile 17. The park is equipped with running water fountain and rest rooms.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

It is going to be VERY HOT on Saturday, and this ride has couple of steep climbs.

Make sure you come fully hydrated, and make sure you bring plenty of water to drink during the ride!

We can have an optional water stop on top of Inglewood hiils if required to refill our water bottles.

Thanks

Mahesh
