Join us for a ride from Wilburton Park and Ride on a 36 mile route at steady pace (12 - 14 MPH)
Let's meet at the Wilburton Park and Ride and please be ready to ride at 10:00AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.
We will head south from Wilburton past the Seahawks Training Center to Gene Coulon Park (Renton). Continue south through Renton and around the south end of Renton Airfield. View the new Boeing airplanes, head north along Rainier Ave. to Seward Park Ave. then to Seward Park (break time). Keep heading north to I-90 Bridge, beautiful view of Mt. Rainier, to Mercer Island. This is the PLUS part of the ride, instead of just crossing Mercer Island we will go around it. This is the most hilly part of the ride. Then cross the East Channel Bridge and back to our starting point.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are not available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles Gene Coulon Park and Seward Park at miles 6 and 20. Seward Park will also be break for snacks
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!

Is there a Ride with GPS route link?
Hi James, I am the Ride
Hi James, I am the Ride Leader for the "Let's go for a bike ride - South end of Lk. Wash Plus" I just haven't figured out how to put the GPS route on ride website.
Ride with GPS
Hi Bob,
Perhaps past the URL link into the description, or into a comment?
Opps.
PASTE, not past. I can't figure hout how to edit a post...
maybe just copy/paste route from rwgps at end of description
I think just copy/paste it from rwgps url for the route.
I believe there's a way in the cascade ride planner to put it in specifically, but the hack above might be simpler until the "proper way" surfaces
