Join us for a ride from 60 Acres Fields north of Redmond on a 31 mile route at moderate pace (14-16 mph). We'll loop Lake Sammamish counterclockwise and make a refreshment stop at Issaquah Coffee Company. Much of the route is flattish but we do accumulate 1200 feet of elevation gain; this includes a detour around the road construction on West Lake Sammamish Parkway even though bikes are allowed through the area.
Let's meet at 60 Acres Park south-east parking lot (check the start location map, above!) and be ready to ride at 9:00 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing and roll out when that's done. If you miss the briefing, you will not be able to ride with the group. There are porta-potties at the start but no water, so bring your water bottles filled up.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and will regroup frequently.
There are a few options for restrooms or porta-potties on the route if needed. The coffee/pastry stop is at mile 16.2.
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders, preferably reaching 2-4 inches from the ground, if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!
