Join us for a relaxed ride 40.2-mile ride at a steady pace (12-14 mph) from Ron Regis Park in Renton to Ristrettos in Lake Sawyer for coffee.

We will begin at Ron Regis Park and ride the Cedar River Trail and then along the beautiful, rolling Jones Road out to Ristrettos for coffee and refreshments on their deck with a view of Mt. Rainier.  Then we will head back for a mostly downhill ride along SE Auburn Black Diamond and Witte Rd to the start.  We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup as needed.

Let's meet at Ron Regis Park and please be ready to ride at 9 AM. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

Restrooms (porta-potty) available at the start, no water.   Restroom and coffee stop (20 minutes) at Ristrettos at mile 12.

The ride will take about 4.5 hours including the coffee break.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

I'm really sorry I showed up to late and missed this ride -- my phone's screen finally died entirely, so I wound up navigating by memory and missed several turns. On the bright side, when I finally found Ron Regis park, I wound up taking a lovely ride up to the end of the Cedar River Trail, which was some really beautiful gravel-road biking =)
