Enjoy an almost traffic free ride from Woodinville counterclockwise around the north end of Lake Washington, past UW, across the 520 bridge and back north along the Sammamish River.  We will ride on the Sammamish, Burke-Gilman, 520, and Bear Creek trails with very little time spent on roadways. Except for 8 miles between the end of the the 520 bridge and Redmond, the ride is nearly flat.  Where there are hills we will climb and descend at our own rate and regroup at the top or bottom. A RWGPS link is posted below.  If you want a cue sheet, please print one and bring it with you.

A public restroom is available on the Sammamish River Trail near enough to the start so you can cycle there after parking your car (see RWGPS link).  We will plan rest stops at Mathews Beach Park (mile 10.5) and at Starbucks in Redmond (mile 28.1).

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride to hear the safety (SMART) briefing. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us.

Comments

Unfortunately Robin, CBC has established a firm rule that riders must be present at the start for the briefing and cannot join later in the ride. Wally

Hi I am new to the area and will be joining you tomorrow.  Once I find the parking lot and park - where is the trailhead to meet the group?
Thanks!

Arlys Hill

Arlys we will be meeting adjacent to 131st ave. NE either in the parking lot just south of the playfields or just across the street.  Given there are 24 of us, it will be obvious. The actual trailhead is across the street from the parking lot. Glad you will be joining us.
