Join us for a ride from Mount Baker Beach on a 35.5 mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 MPH)!

We will ride across I-90, check out the new section of the I-90 trail, ride through the Lake Hills neighborhood to downtown Redmond for a snack/lunch break, then return via Rose Hill and back on the 520 trail along Lake Washington.

Let's meet at the Mount Baker Beach at 9:45am for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently, at the top of major hills and turns.

Restrooms are available at the start. We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks in downtown Redmond at mile 19. We will also stop along the way for restrooms/water at Lake Hills Community Park (mile 11) and Houghton Beach (mile 24).

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

Scouted the start location and the holiday weekend has been hard on the restrooms.  Unless there is service tomorrow morning, it's a BYOTP situation.  OR, Enatai Beach Park is right across the lake and we can stop there if needed.

Also, here is a shortened version of the route in case anyone needs to cut it short and cut out some climbing.
