Join us for a ride from Wilmot Gateway Park in Woodinville on a 17+ mile route at a Steady pace (12-14 mph)! This is a fairly flat route with bike trails or bike lanes for most of the route.
Now that our Pacific Northwest Summer has finally arrived (as opposed to the Saharan summer of a few days ago!), it's time to start (or continue) your summer recreational riding! Leaving from Wilmot Gateway Park, we'll head south towards 60 Acres Sportsfields where we'll turn west to Willows Road and then pick up the Redmond Connector Trail followed by a short jaunt to our Coffee Stop (circa 25 minutes for coffee/snacks etc - Starbucks/QFC by Bella Bottega Shopping Center). We'll return by a leg through Redmond Town Center and then the Sammamish River Trail back to Wilmot.
Let's meet at the Wilmot Gateway Park by the Pergolas in the park at 0915 for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 0930.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace although such hills will be hard to find on our official route, and our goal will be to regroup frequently - this is a social ride after all! Faster riders are welcome but for them the ride becomes self-paced. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH).
Restrooms are available at the start. We’ll stop for coffee/snacks/restrooms/water at the Starbucks/QFC by Bella Bottega Shopping Center at mile 9.2. (Please bring funds appropriate for your needs if you wish to purchase coffee or snacks)
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!

Updated Route Friday afternoon
Updated the ridewithgps route late Friday afternoon with some minor changes to account for some new construction activity. Looks like a great route for Sunday! (No change in URL)
Reminders:
a) you MUST be present for the Safety briefing prior to the ride and registered electronically. Looks like our weather will be about perfect for a Sunday morning ride!
b) we will be meeting by the Pergolas in Wilmot Gateway Park and not in the parking lot by the athletic fields.
Am I registered?
I tried to sign up and there was s pot on my phone and I took it, but I couldn't actually get logged in, so I don't know if I am in the ride or not.

Brenda:You are not showing as registered as of 7:55pm Sat July 3
Brenda
You are not showing as registered for this ride as of 7:55 pm Sat July 3. All 10 spots for this ride are currently in use by other riders and the ride this week is limited to 10 including me. The only other posted Steady paced ride this Sunday is longer (40 miles) and starts in the south end. I do plan to offer similar rides for future weekends so if July 4 isn't working out this week, we always have next week!
Thx
Alan Miller
