Join us for a ride from Gas Works Park on a 21 mile route at leisurely pace (10 to12 miles per hour). While Queen Anne and Magnolia Bluff require some climbing to get up both Hills, we will take the easiest routes and the views from the Queen Anne Boulevard and Magnolia Bluff are some of the most scenic in the City. The route over the Thomas Street Bridge and past the the new Expedia Campus add to the views.
Let's meet at Gas Works Park parking lot at 9:50 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together.
Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at about 10 miles at the Port restrooms on the Elliott Bay Trail. Bring water and snacks for rest stops. No formal lunch stop. Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
We hope you can join us!

Ride distance
I added a few miles to make this ride 25 miles and even more scenic and somewhat easier climbs. The two major climbs are still a little long but more gradual elevation. We start by going to Magnolia and finish with Queen Anne. John, my co-leader may record the ride for GPS - he's more tech savvy. We do best with 10 riders particularly when the ride has hills but may have some cancellations if you check the morning of the ride. Bill
sorry
Sorry for the last minute cancellation....I contracted the norovirus and even though I seem to be on the mend, it's extremely contagious and I don't want to expose others.
