Join us for a ride from Redmond on a 18.9 mile route at Steady pace (12-14 MPH)!
This ride is ideal for beginners! There are three moderate hills, and the entire ride takes place in and around Redmond, on mostly quiet streets.
Let's meet at the East Lake Sammamish Parking Lot at 9:45 AM for our pre-ride safety briefing, with a departure at 10:00 AM. This parking lot is next-door to the parking lot for Whole Foods. See this image for details.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to regroup frequently.
There is a portable restroom available at the start, but no water. There are a couple restrooms along the way, and we will stop for restrooms and water at mile 12.75 (Farrell McWhirter Park), and there will likely be homemade cookies!
Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case.
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.
Ride leader mentoring is available for this ride. If you are interested, please contact shaun@ivory.org.
This is a mentored ride for Mahesh Gopalan. Please join us and support his efforts to become a ride leader!
We hope you can join us!

I will NOT be canceling this ride to due to excessive heat, BUT!
It is going to be VERY HOT on Saturday, and this ride has three moderate climbs.
Make sure you come fully hydrated, and make sure you bring plenty of water to drink during the ride!
